709 – 742 in a year of 2012 wOws!

My “word” for 2012 is wOw!           

wOw! is one of those fabulous words that fits positive, negative and neutral situations.  It’s a word we can use when no other will work.   Over this next year of Sundays, I’m going to share some wOw!moments from the previous week.  By December 31, 2012, I’ll have shared 2012wOw! moments.   

I hope you’ll have spotted (and maybe even shared) close to that, too.

Here’s what made me say wOw! this week:

718.  the stunning and heartbreaking passing of a dear man in our community;

719. the power of love and forgiveness;

720.  the honor of hearing the story of someone newly diagnosed with MS in her body;

721.  when faith overcomes fear;

722. asking for help;

723. accepting help eXaCtLy as it’s offered;

724.  missing Mari during the Idol finale;

725.  how FB friends stepped up to the plate;

726. preparing for my dear pal’s birthday celebration;

727.  celebrating my dear friend’s birthday;

728.  Tom bringing both Linda and me roses;

729.  Barbara at Two Sisters Bookery;

730.  Chik-Fil-A diet lemonade;

731.  the honor of being part of Waccamaw Academy’s final graduation ceremony;

732.  the gift of a friend’s Presence;

733.  how much I love my mom;

734.  the Columbus County Farmer’s Market;

735.  Lydia’s Country Kitchen (in Hallsboro);

736. watching two turtles and two gators settle in together;

737.  how cool roasting beets make my home smell;

738.  the loving gift of fabulous Kodiak, AK coffee;

739. baby egrets;

740.  the movie JFK;

741.  wild mushroom ravioli;

742.  how much Blossom loves her Aunt Linda;

  1. Seeing my son marry into a wonderful family last weekend! It gives me such great comfort in knowing that he is loved!

  2. Over 40 years of friendship we can still laugh, cry, talk or just sit and watch each other. Your cooking is amazing Your tablecloth shawl, well let’s just say Heidi K could wear it better. But most of all the big WOW is knowing when I go, no matter where I go, you are ALWAYS with me! Love you always!
