1866 – 1907 in a year of 2012 wOws!

My “word” for 2012 is wOw!

wOw! is one of those fabulous words that fits positive, negative and neutral situations.  It’s a word we can use when no other will work.   Over this next year of Sundays, I’m going to share some wOw!moments from the previous week.  By December 31, 2012, I’ll have shared 2012 wOw! moments.

  1. Letting go of 1/3 of everything in my clothes closet.
Reorganizing my life in the twinkling of an eye.
My Mom’s ability to make an adventure of that biggest of downsizings-giving up home-at 88.
Snowfall in Upstate New York transforming everything into magic.

  2. Being at Pelican House with dear ones and new ones.
The gift and power and wonder of writing
Being silent in a room full of women
Coming home to three precious boys, two of whom still hug me when they get off the bus.

  3. An unexpected, healing, supportive hug from a colleague, accompanied by a reminder to breathe. ahhhh…. (:

  4. Hearing about the miracle of our daughter-in-law’s blood clot in her placenta disappearing & a healthy baby developing! Skyping with our 2 yr old grandson, and an opportunity to, maybe, have our Mario kitty brought to Florida from North Carolina. I still don’t know who that special person is, but God does!
